Terms & Conditions
Thank you for purchasing a ticket to attend a YWCA Canberra (Work Respect) event. By purchasing a ticket, you confirm your acceptance of the following terms and conditions. If you have purchased multiple tickets, you agree to these terms on behalf of all attendees, who are also required to comply.
Refund Policy
If you are unable to attend the event, please notify us promptly by contacting hello@workrespect.com.au
A full refund is available for cancellations made via email at least seven (7) days prior to the scheduled event.
No refunds will be provided for cancellations received within seven days of the event. For cancellations on the day of the event due to any reason including sickness, the attendee would forfeit the full payment with no refund.
Card fees will not be refunded:
1.4% + 30c for domestic Visa/Mastercard transactions
1.75% + 30c for domestic AmEx transactions
2.9% + 30c for international transactions
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person by emailing megan.hunter@ywca-canberra.org.au with the new attendee’s details one hour before the event. Dietary requirements cannot be accommodated within the seven (7) days prior and the regular menu will be served in such cases.
Event Changes or Cancellation
YWCA Canberra reserves the right to relocate, reschedule, or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances. If the event is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. If the event is rescheduled or relocated, tickets will remain valid for the new date or location, or you may request a refund if you cannot attend.
Code of Conduct & General Behaviour
Disruptive behaviour may result in your removal from the event without refund.
Privacy Statement
Personal information collected at registration will be managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is used solely for event management and communication purposes.
Accessibility
If you have accessibility requirements, please notify us at least seven (7) days before the event so appropriate arrangements can be made. Past this date, we are unable to accommodate specific requests.
Age Restriction
If applicable, attendees must be 18 years or older to attend this event.
Public Health Guidelines
All attendees must comply with current public health directives (including COVID-19 guidelines) as required at the time of the event.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, YWCA Canberra accepts no responsibility for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property incurred during the event.

Work Respect’s trauma informed, person-centred sexual harassment support training provides participants with the understanding, skills, strategies and techniques to provide trauma-informed and person-centred support to people impacted by sexual harassment within the organisation.
